Your day-plan memo

Memo dates, destinations, free text and ticks are processed on your device. They are not sent to our server or analytics. Only pressing Save keeps one memo in this site’s browser storage (localStorage). Saving again replaces it, and the memo’s Delete button removes it. There is no automatic expiry. Unsaved entries are not guaranteed to persist. Save or export anything you need before closing the page.

A saved memo can be restored on the same site in the same browser. It is not synced across devices or sites. Avoid saving on a shared device or entering personal information. Browser settings may prevent saving, restoring or deleting; the tool displays a message if that happens. You manage downloaded files and printed copies separately; deleting on this site does not remove them.

Information sent to analytics providers

To understand how the site is used and improve its guides and tools, the production site uses Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. When you open a page, your browser sends the information below to these providers. There is no pop-up asking you to opt in.

Google Analytics 4

Recipient: Google LLC

Information sent: the URL of the page you view (query strings and fragments removed before sending) and its title, the domain of the referring site, device, browser, screen size and language information, fixed categories for tool use and outbound link clicks, an identifier stored in a cookie, and connection information such as your IP address.

Purpose: to count visits and understand usage so we can improve our guides, tools and navigation. We do not use ad personalization, Google signals or user-ID tracking.

We do not send calculator inputs, quiz answers or scores, memo contents, names or email addresses. Google Analytics cookies are configured with a 180-day expiry.

Microsoft Clarity

Recipient: Microsoft Corporation

Information sent: the URL of the page you view and the referring URL, interactions such as clicks, scrolling and cursor movement, the content and structure of the displayed page, device, browser and screen size information, an identifier stored in a cookie, and connection information such as your IP address.

Purpose: to use heatmaps and session replays to find hard-to-read sections and confusing interactions, so we can improve the site.

In addition to this site’s cookies (_clck and _clsk), cookies that identify your browser on Microsoft domains, such as MUID, may be used. Microsoft states that MUID is also used for advertising, site analytics and other purposes.

Input and result areas for memos, calculators and quizzes are masked before recording. We do not start Clarity on pages whose current URL or referring URL contains a query string or fragment. Playback data is normally retained for 30 days; heatmaps and labelled or favourited sessions for nine months.

If you prefer not to be measured

You can delete or block this site’s cookies in your browser settings. To stop sending data to Google Analytics, use Google’s Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Even with cookies blocked, Clarity may still record individual page views. If this browser previously saved a choice on this site to turn off both services, neither loads until that saved choice expires (up to 180 days). If it saved a choice to turn off Clarity only, Clarity does not load for the same period.
