MGM Osaka is planned for autumn 2030. The resort is not open.

Station details were checked against Osaka Metro’s English station guide on 19 October 2026. The route checks below retain their original date. Check equipment notices and your destination’s entrance instructions for your travel date.

The station is served by trains; the MGM Osaka resort is not open. A station map is not a public route into the construction area.

Which city connection should you use?

Starting point Connection to the Chuo Line
KIX, using Nankai Nankai Namba → walk to Metro Namba M20 → Midosuji Line to Hommachi M18/C16
Shin-Osaka M13 Midosuji Line toward Namba / Tennoji → Hommachi M18/C16
Osaka / Umeda M16 Walk to Metro Umeda → Midosuji Line toward Namba / Tennoji → Hommachi M18/C16
Namba M20 Midosuji Line toward Umeda / Shin-Osaka → Hommachi M18/C16

At Hommachi, follow Chuo Line signs and board a Yumeshima-bound train. These are route examples, with walking transfers, rather than a fastest-route or fixed-fare comparison.

Choose the destination before the train

Yumeshima Station (夢洲, C09) and INTEX Osaka are different destinations. For Yumeshima, take a Chuo Line train with Yumeshima on its destination display. For INTEX, leave the Chuo Line at Cosmosquare or connect to the New Tram as described below.

The integrated resort is not open; Osaka Prefecture’s target is autumn 2030. Reaching the station does not give access to the development site. Read what is open and what is planned before making a trip specifically for the resort.

The routes below are practical examples checked on September 26, 2026, not a fastest-route comparison or a promise about future resort services.

From Kansai International Airport (KIX / 関西国際空港)

This example uses Nankai via Namba. JR is another airport option; compare your hotel location before choosing.

  1. Reach Kansai-Airport Station (関西空港). It connects to Terminal 1 and Aeroplaza at the second-floor level. From Terminal 2, use the airport’s free shuttle to Aeroplaza, then follow railway signs. See the airport’s terminal-transfer guide.
  2. Take Nankai to Namba (なんば). Nankai lists Airport Express and Limited Express Rapi:t services on this route. Check the operator’s current service and ticket information for the train you choose.
  3. Walk from Nankai Namba to Osaka Metro Namba (M20). Follow the Midosuji Line signs. This is a change of railway and a walking transfer, not a same-platform connection.
  4. Take the Midosuji Line toward Umeda / Shin-Osaka, getting off at Hommachi (本町, M18).
  5. Follow Chuo Line signs to Hommachi C16, then board a train showing Yumeshima (夢洲). Alight at C09.

Keep airport arrival procedures and the Namba transfer separate from the train journey when planning your day. For a late arrival, check whether the whole connection is still available before leaving the airport.

From Shin-Osaka (新大阪, M13)

After arriving by Shinkansen or JR, follow signs for Osaka Metro / Midosuji Line. The Metro journey starts after you reach its ticket gates and platform.

Take the Midosuji Line south toward Namba / Tennoji to Hommachi M18. Walk to the Chuo Line, C16, then take a Yumeshima-bound train to Yumeshima C09.

From Osaka / Umeda (大阪 / 梅田, M16)

From JR Osaka or the Hankyu / Hanshin stations, first walk to Osaka Metro Umeda, Midosuji Line M16. The names describe a station district; allow for walking to the correct railway.

Take the Midosuji Line south toward Namba / Tennoji to Hommachi M18, change to Chuo Line C16, and continue on a Yumeshima-bound train to C09.

The official Metro map shows line letters and station numbers as well as names. Match the station code when different spellings such as “Hommachi” and “Honmachi” appear in travel material.

At Hommachi and Yumeshima: the walking part

The Midosuji and Chuo platforms at Hommachi are separate. Use the English station guide for the station map and accessible transfer route. Add walking and waiting time rather than treating the transfer as immediate.

The English Yumeshima station guide has a station map and exit information. Check your destination’s entrance instructions before leaving the station. This guide does not provide an IR visitor entrance, a construction-site walk or a confirmed station-to-resort route.

Going to INTEX Osaka instead?

Stay with the Chuo Line route only as far as Cosmosquare (コスモスクエア, C10). INTEX publishes these walking estimates:

For the latter two, connect to the New Tram at Cosmosquare. INTEX encourages Chuo Line passengers to use Cosmosquare because Nakafuto can be crowded for events. A shorter final walk may still involve an extra transfer.

Use the venue’s English access page for maps and walking videos, then check your event organiser’s hall and entrance. The published walking estimates do not guarantee your time to registration.

For every route to the venue, including the airport bus from KIX and the Yotsubashi Line option, see Getting to INTEX Osaka. If the island names are confusing, Osaka Bay’s islands explained shows where Yumeshima, Sakishima and Maishima sit.

Save the return journey too

Open Osaka Metro’s English route and fare search and enter your exact travel date, departure station and hotel station. Include time to leave the event and walk to the platform.

From Yumeshima, return on the Chuo Line toward Gakken-Nara-Tomigaoka to Hommachi. Change there for northbound Midosuji services to Umeda / Shin-Osaka, or southbound services to Namba. Confirm departure times and the destination display on the day.

Fares and end-to-end journey times are not fixed in this article. Check your selected trains, any ticket supplements, and the final connection for your date.

Turn the route into a stay plan

Use the area comparison to compare Hommachi, Namba and waterfront bases. Then add your own accommodation and transport estimates to the budget calculator. Before paying for a trip, work through the booking checklist.

In Japanese: 夢洲駅への行き方|新大阪・梅田・なんば・大阪上本町から on 夢洲ガイド, the Japanese-language site by the same operator. It covers the Osaka-Uehommachi route and is edited separately from this article.
