The short answer
INTEX Osaka is at 1-5-102 Nanko-Kita, Suminoe-ku, on the man-made island of Sakishima (also called Nanko). It is not on Yumeshima, even though both are reached on the Osaka Metro Chuo Line. The venue lists three stations within walking distance:
| Station | Line | Walk to INTEX (venue estimate) |
|---|---|---|
| Cosmosquare (コスモスクエア), C10 / P09 | Chuo Line and New Tram | about 9 minutes |
| Trade Center-mae (トレードセンター前), P10 | New Tram | about 8 minutes |
| Nakafuto (中ふ頭), P11 | New Tram | about 5 minutes |
If you arrive on the Chuo Line, get off at Cosmosquare and walk. INTEX asks Chuo Line passengers to do this because Nakafuto becomes very crowded during events. The venue also says the New Tram leg from Cosmosquare to Nakafuto, including the transfer, takes a little under 10 minutes, so the shorter final walk from Nakafuto does not usually save time.
Chuo Line trains bound for Yumeshima call at Cosmosquare first. Yumeshima (C09) is the next and final stop: the former Expo 2025 site and the planned resort, with no exhibition venue. Check the station number before you leave the train.

From Shin-Osaka, Umeda, Namba or Kobe
INTEX publishes the routes below, with its own time estimates to Nakafuto. Fares change with the route and ticket type, so look them up in Osaka Metro’s English route search or your rail pass conditions for the day you travel.
| From | Route | About (INTEX) |
|---|---|---|
| Shin-Osaka | Midosuji Line to Hommachi → Chuo Line to Cosmosquare | 45 min |
| Shin-Osaka | JR to Osaka → JR Osaka Loop Line to Bentencho → Chuo Line to Cosmosquare | 40 min |
| Umeda | Midosuji Line to Hommachi → Chuo Line to Cosmosquare | 40 min |
| JR Osaka | JR Osaka Loop Line to Bentencho → Chuo Line to Cosmosquare | 35 min |
| Nishi-Umeda or Namba | Yotsubashi Line to Suminoekoen → New Tram to Nakafuto | 40–42 min |
| Namba | Midosuji Line to Hommachi → Chuo Line to Cosmosquare | 40 min |
| Kobe (Sannomiya) | Hanshin to Amagasaki → Hanshin Namba Line to Kujo → Chuo Line to Cosmosquare | 50 min |
Every Chuo Line route involves a walking transfer, at Hommachi, Bentencho or Kujo. Our Yumeshima Station transport guide explains the Hommachi change and the station codes in more detail; the same steps apply until you get off at Cosmosquare.
The Yotsubashi Line route reaches the venue from the south via Suminoekoen, with the New Tram for the last part. It can suit a hotel near a Yotsubashi Line station in Namba or Nishi-Umeda.
From Kansai International Airport (KIX)
There are two options listed by INTEX.
- Airport limousine bus. Kansai Airport Transportation Enterprise runs the Nanko / Tempozan (Kaiyukan) / Universal Studios Japan route. Get off at Grand Prince Hotel Osaka Bay / Hoshino Resorts RISONARE Osaka; INTEX says the venue is right next to this stop and puts the ride at about 50 minutes. The adult fare was ¥1,800 when we checked. Find the departure stop for your terminal and the timetable on the operator’s route page.
- JR and the Chuo Line. Take the JR Kansai Airport Rapid Service to Bentencho, change to the Chuo Line for Cosmosquare, and continue on foot or by New Tram. INTEX estimates about 1 hour 30 minutes to Nakafuto. JR West’s timetable shows Kansai Airport Rapid trains calling at Bentencho on the Osaka Loop Line, but check that your train runs that way, as some services start or end at Tennoji.
If you are staying in Namba first, our transport guide covers the Nankai route from the airport.
From Itami (Osaka International Airport)
INTEX lists airport limousine buses from Itami to Shin-Osaka (about 25 minutes), Osaka / Umeda (about 30 minutes) and Namba (about 30 minutes). Continue by rail from there using the table above.
On the day of your event
- Find your hall and entrance on the organiser’s page before you set off. INTEX has several halls, and the right entrance matters more than the nearest station.
- Osaka Metro notes that the New Tram may run to a temporary timetable for events. Allow extra time at the end of the day, when everyone leaves together.
- Around Cosmosquare, Hokko Kanko Bus Route 1, the Circle Bus, links Cosmosquare Station with Hotel Fukuracia Osaka Bay by INTEX Hall 6 (operator’s route list, in Japanese).
- INTEX asks visitors to come by public transport, as nearby roads and car parks can be congested during events.
Where to stay for INTEX
A hotel near Cosmosquare keeps the morning short. A base in the city centre gives you more choice for evenings, with a 35–45 minute trip on INTEX’s estimates. Our area comparison sets out the trade-offs between Nanko, Bentencho, Hommachi and Namba, and the budget calculator helps you compare total costs.
