You cannot book a resort room yet

The hotels in the Osaka integrated resort are part of the same project as the rest of the resort, and none of it is open. Osaka Prefecture’s target opening is autumn 2030. MGM Osaka’s English site says the resort is “set to make a landmark debut in 2030”, and when we checked on 20 October 2026 it offered no room bookings or rates.

On 8 June 2026 MGM Osaka warned that fake websites were using its name, and said that its only official site is mgmosaka.co.jp. If a page offers early resort reservations, a membership or a deposit, confirm it on the official site first and do not enter personal or card details. This guide does not sell resort access or take bookings either.

What the plan includes

Osaka Prefecture’s published explanation of the approved development plan describes three hotels with about 2,500 rooms in total, with about 20% or more of the rooms planned as suites.

Hotel (planning name) How the plan describes it
MGM Osaka An entertainment hotel for a wide range of guests, from business to leisure travellers
MGM Osaka Villa A top-tier hotel for VIP guests, with dedicated staff for each room
MUSUBI Hotel A multi-generation aqua-resort hotel, aimed at families as well as luxury travellers

Room rates, the date bookings open and which resort facilities hotel guests can use are not given in the prefecture’s or MGM Osaka’s material we checked. Plans can change. For the overall timeline and what has not been announced, read Is the Yumeshima resort open?

Being close to Yumeshima does not help today

Yumeshima has no visitor attractions open, and the former Expo grounds are still waiting for a developer. For a trip now, choose a hotel by where you will actually spend your days.

Judge distance by Chuo Line stops

If your hotel is near a Chuo Line station, the number of stops to Yumeshima (C09) gives a rough idea of distance. Station numbers are from Osaka Metro’s station guide; the connecting lines are those used in INTEX Osaka’s published routes.

Station Stops to Yumeshima Change here for
Cosmosquare, C10 1 New Tram (towards INTEX Osaka)
Bentencho, C13 4 JR Osaka Loop Line
Kujo, C14 5 Hanshin Namba Line
Hommachi, C16 7 Midosuji Line

Check journey times and fares for your date in Osaka Metro’s English route search. The transport guide explains the transfer at Hommachi and the final stop at Yumeshima.

Arriving at KIX with a bay-area hotel

The airport limousine bus on the Nanko / Tempozan (Kaiyukan) / Universal Studios Japan route stops at Nanko Ferry Terminal, Port Town Higashi, Grand Prince Hotel Osaka Bay / Hoshino Resorts RISONARE Osaka, Tempozan (Kaiyukan), Universal Studios Japan, Universal CityWalk Osaka and LIBER HOTEL (JR Sakurajima). The adult fare was ¥1,800 when checked. If one of those stops is close to your hotel, it avoids changing trains with luggage. Check the timetable and your terminal’s boarding point on the operator’s page.
